Friends was originally established in 2012 as Friends on the Square by the Odling family. For more than a decade, it has been a place where our community gathers over great coffee, good conversation, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

In 2026, Friends entered a new chapter when longtime customer and former employee David Redford purchased the business — with a vision of preserving what people loved while thoughtfully building for the future. After spending four years working behind the counter during high school, Friends became much more than a job. It sparked a passion for hospitality, small business, and serving the community.

Today, Friends Coffee Co. continues to build on that foundation. We proudly serve handcrafted coffee, espresso, seasonal specialty drinks, refreshing teas, Lotus energy drinks, smoothies, fresh bakery, breakfast and lunch favorites, and locally loved Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream. Our monthly Friends Collective menu keeps things fresh with limited-time drinks inspired by the seasons and created by our team.

More than anything, Friends is about people. Whether you're grabbing your morning coffee, meeting a friend, enjoying an ice cream with your family, getting some work done, or simply taking a break from your day, we hope you feel welcome the moment you walk through our doors.
